We have supported the buy-back of residential lots in the 120 million year old Daintree Lowland Rainforest, which had been sold off by the Queensland Government in 1982. Returning the land to the ownership and management of local Traditional Owners - The Eastern Kuku Yalanji people (Bama), ensuring that community building occurs through education, training, and economic assistance in the form of jobs and eco-tourism.
